Our blog turns ONE this month and we're ready to celebrate! We've found two events for our film buff friends, an opportunity to find a locally crafted gift for your Valentine, a couple ways to up your fitness game (including an evening where your pup can join!), and again a great way to drink for a cause. As always, leave a comment letting us know which activity from our list you're looking forward to and you'll be entered to win a $10 Orca card from Pierce Transit. A name will be drawn at the end of the month. See you out there!

Local cover band, Got 90s?, will be gracing the stage at 9pm and there will be a $10 cover charge at the door. While you won’t find Zima on the menu, a full bar of local beers and other spirits will be available per usual.

As always, we have found another way to have a tasty beverage and support an amazing non-profit at the same time! Vino Aquino will be hosting a benefit wine tasting in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Days for Girls (DFG). Days for Girls is a non-profit organization that increases access to menstrual care and education globally. It’s no secret that menstruation is a taboo subject in many cultures, including our own. Without proper care and education, girls don’t go to school, women are excluded from society, and females in general suffer physically and emotionally. By providing DFG Kits (check them out!) and proper education, DFG hopes to remove the stigma and obstacles that young girls and women face, to allow them to live healthy and successful lives, as well as pass that support on to others. So, enjoy a glass of wine, play some informative games, and hear about how Days for Girls is turning periods into pathways. Find tickets here.
