Tacoma Rainier’s Opening Day

It’s finally here, opening day for the Tacoma Rainiers! There’s nothing quite like sitting in the ballpark with a hotdog in hand and hearing the sound of a bat cracking another home run across the field. Beyond the Backyard

Are you slightly (or really) competitive and ready for an adventure in your own backyard? Great! Tacoma Pierce County Habitat for Humanity has created an adventure race, just for you! Teams of 3 - 8 people are tasked with completing four challenges in the categories of Physical, Find, Skill, and Fun. This three hour even starts wherever YOU are. That's right. There is no start or finish line, just access to the challenges via a race app. All challenges will be released at 10am and then it's up to you to determine the order and what you need. Simply upload photos of your completed challenges as you go and you're one step closer to the finish line. Registration is $25 per person and includes access to the app and a Habitat for Humanity facemask. Aside from testing your skills and abilities, teams are encouraged to raise $300 to support Habitat's affordable homeownership and foreclosure prevention program. Your registration fees count towards the goal, so you're already almost there! Check out their FAQ page for more information and race day details.
