Families can enjoy a low-sensory concert with Northwest Sinfonietta at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma and a playful scavenger hunt during Love at the Zoo. Wrap up the month with tastings, trivia, beer science, live music, a beer can derby, and other fun beer community events during Tacoma Beer Week. Tacoma's Black Night Market is proud to present their 4th Annual Black History Month Celebration! This free and family friendly gathering honors Black legacy, culture, and creativity with a full day of live music, poetry, dance, art, and delicious food. Support more than 40 Black and BIPOC artists and businesses while indulging in soul food, Caribbean treats, and African cuisine. Enjoy live jazz, R&B, spoken word, African drumming, and interactive cultural performances throughout the day. The Black Night Market perfectly summed up this event as, "...where culture, commerce, and community come together to uplift, empower, and inspire."

Are you new to running or are you a runner who is new to Tacoma? Lace up and join Tacoma Runners every Saturday for their FREE 5K at Point Defiance! This scenic, car-free route winds through the woods just past the Owen Beach turnoff, offering fresh air, forest views, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. All paces are encouraged, and friendly four-legged running buddies are welcome too. Whether you’re easing into running or looking for a new social circle to literally run with, it’s a great way to meet neighbors and get those legs moving.

Dozens of local artists will be “sharing the love” at this two-day maker market! Head down to King’s Books for one of their most beloved events, Tacoma is for Lovers. Each day features a new batch of artists selling their jewelry, letterpress prints, pottery, candles, pet products, vintage fares, and more! February 12th
The Children’s Museum of Tacoma welcomes the Northwest Sinfonietta for two low-sensory live performances designed especially for children with sensory sensitivities and special needs. Families can dance and sing along to familiar Disney favorites and classical music performed by a string quartet. Concert goers can also explore the instrument petting zoo and enjoy an educational Q&A, all in a calm, welcoming environment.
February 14th & 15th
No one should feel left out on Valentine’s Day, especially our furry, scaly, feathery, and even invertebrate friends! Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is spreading the love all weekend with heart-shaped enrichments for various animals and special keeper chats throughout the day. Learn what each animal loves to eat, how they like to play, and what makes them truly unique. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled, there are ten hidden hearts scattered around the zoo, each packed with fun animal facts to discover!
February 22nd
Ring in the Year of the Horse in the Historic Lincoln District at the South Sound’s largest Lunar New Year Festival! This vibrant, family-friendly event brings the district to life with a full day of lion dancers, firecrackers, music, shopping, kids’ activities, and nonstop fun. Follow the lion dancers as they weave through the neighborhood, stopping at local businesses to spread good fortune. The Tacoma Sunday Market will line the streets with an outdoor marketplace, while the district’s beloved restaurants and food trucks serve up plenty of reasons to come hungry. It’s a dazzling celebration you won’t want to miss!
February 26th
Mount Rainier is a true Washington icon, beloved by outdoor lovers near and far, and it deserves to be celebrated. Incline Cider is raising a glass to Mount Rainier National Park’s birthday with Pints for the Parks, generously donating a portion of all pint sales to Washington’s National Park Fund. Stop by anytime from 2–9 pm to enjoy great cider, mingle with fellow outdoor enthusiasts, shop limited-edition pint glasses, and soak up the fun. Trivia kicks off at 6 pm, with raffle prizes popping up throughout the evening. Cheers to good cider and an even better cause!

Tacoma Beer Week 2026 is pouring into town next month with a full lineup of fun, flavorful events celebrating the South Sound’s vibrant craft beer scene. Breweries and taprooms across Tacoma will host tastings, special releases, trivia, a beer can derby, live music, a beer science fair, and other can’t-miss events, inviting beer lovers to explore the city one pint at a time. It’s not just about great beer, a food drive will run throughout the week alongside other fundraisers that give back to the community. With something happening nearly every day, Tacoma Beer Week is a great excuse to support local brewers, discover new favorites, and toast to the creative spirit of Tacoma. Celebrate International Polar Bear Day in Tacoma’s charming Proctor District! Throughout the day, local businesses will donate a portion of their sales to Polar Bears International, making it easy and fun to support a great cause. Pick up a gift from Compass Rose, enjoy a scoop from Ice Cream Social, or grab a slice at Fondi Pizza, all in the name of our furry friends. As you stroll the neighborhood, keep an eye out for the wandering polar bear and listen for live music from the Tacomarama band. For those 21 and over, cap off the evening at Peaks and Pints with a final cheers to those fuzzy white ears!
